How much does MinIO AIStor cost?

MinIO AIStor is available in three tiers: AIStor Free, AIStor Enterprise Lite, and AIStor Enterprise.

AIStor Free: AIStor Free is free to download and deploy and includes the full AIStor feature set for a single-node deployment. It is intended for enterprise developers getting started with AIStor or running smaller use cases that can be self-supported and do not require data resiliency beyond a single node. Redistribution is prohibited.‍
AIStor Enterprise Lite: AIStor Enterprise Lite is fully featured, distributed, and highly available. It is designed for developers and architects who need a scalable, multi-node deployment but do not require the premium support and SLA included with AIStor Enterprise.

AIStor Enterprise: AIStor Enterprise is designed for enterprise teams that require performance, scale, economics, and premium support. It includes proactive, 24/7/365 direct-to-engineer support with a <4-hour SLA and Panic Button.

What factors go into AIStor object storage pricing?

AIStor subscription pricing is based on usable storage capacity, not raw infrastructure capacity. For example, a 1PB cluster with 750TB usable capacity after erasure-code overhead would be priced based on 750TB.

Enterprise subscription pricing includes the term-based license and deployment support. Volume discounts scale with capacity.

What MinIO AIStor subscriptions are available?

Three tiers are available: AIStor Free, Enterprise Lite, and Enterprise. AIStor Free supports single-node deployments at no cost. Enterprise Lite supports multi-node, horizontally scalable deployments with optional direct-to-engineer support and a reduced SLA. Enterprise supports unlimited scale with proactive 24/7/365 support and a <4-hour SLA.

Deployments that grow beyond 400 TiB on Enterprise Lite are upgraded to Enterprise to maintain premium support.

How is MinIO MemKV priced?

What license does MinIO AIStor use?

MinIO AIStor is commercially licensed. AIStor is MinIO's actively developed and fully supported product line and is available through the Free, Enterprise Lite, and Enterprise tiers.

The original open-source MinIO edition, licensed under AGPLv3, is no longer maintained. Its codebase is frozen, with no new features, bug fixes, or security patches.

Is MinIO Object Store under Open Source (OSS) license discontinued? What should I do for my OSS deployment?

MinIO OSS is at end of life and is no longer being maintained. We strongly encourage OSS users to evaluate alternatives or contact MinIO to upgrade to AIStor. Our customer engineering team can support the upgrade process to help minimize disruption to production deployments.

Has MinIO been discontinued?

No. MinIO AIStor is under active, continuous development, with new features shipping regularly. Only the original open-source community codebase has been discontinued as a maintained project. MinIO's engineering focus is now on AIStor.
